I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for a new year. It was a tough week for the US. Regardless of where you stand on the political spectrum, things are tense. I woke up on November 5 and wondered what it will mean to be from the United States a year from now. No matter how we feel about current events, we are writers and united by a common experience. It’s up to us to keep the light on.
The Authortunities Expo was a bright spot for me. With 12 events that lasted all day, chat never stopped. This event was an exercise in chaos the day before as I figured out all the bugs, but the event itself went smoothly. The next Expo will be March 20 with the theme of “Finding the Fortune in Your Fiction.” You can still watch for free until December 2 at authortunitieshub.com.
If I exist on two hemispheres simultaneously can I move to have the March 20 equinox/solstice combined and just call it the Solquinox? It has a nice ring…
🌳What’s in this issue?
Congratulations to Phill Bradley who just published Back End of the Bell Curve: Tales of the Uncommonly Unlucky! His book is part of the November NeighborHub Book Fair! Find it here.
I’ll be one of the international poets reading for C.C. Ashagra’s annual event at the Cornwall Library to celebrate International Poetry Day.
I’m going to be on Sunday’s “This Week In Indies” talking about The Idioms of Space Opera vs Space Fantasy with host Joe Compton, SM Hillman, Steffanie Costigan, Brad Anderson and Claudia Blood. You can watch it live or catch the replay here.
