Authortunities #25 for September 9-October 6
50+ vetted, paying submissions ➕ a chonkier issue ➕ free digital Fall 2001 vintage issue #94 〓 Read in all 50 US states and 36 countries!
The last boxes are unpacked and we just got a big Visa hurdle done. I think we may be near the finish line! In the Northern hemisphere the weather is starting to cool down, but here in Brazil it’s beginning to be spring. This means I’ll have a spring Halloween. I’ll be sure to share how that goes 😂
You may have noticed the date I send this out shifting around. I’ve been asked to send this closer to the weekend so more of you can take full advantage to read and submit. After some shifting around, I think early Saturday morning can work better for us all. I’m curious to know what you think.
In other news, I’ve brought back the original version of “Exercise Your Writes” to support The Pixel Project [www.thepixelproject.net]. This is for guests of any genre connected to the writing industry, while the version on the Horror Writer Association’s YouTube is focused on horror writers. I’m also consolidating “Authortunities Extra” into the Wednesday show to make my life simpler.
You can catch “Exercise Your Writes” every Wednesday at 2 pm EST here:

And speaking of supporting The Pixel Project [www.thepixelproject.net], I’ve donated a package that includes donated two shows along with full page advertisements in Space and Time magazine [https://spaceandtime.net/]. On September 29 I’ll be a guest alongside Linda D. Addison and Paul Tremblay for Read For Pixel’s “Tackling the Terrors of #MeToo.” Go here to hit that bell to be notified when this event goes live: 🔗https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6hAlZa2exg
As usual, I’m including a free digital vintage issue of Space and Time magazine. This issue is from when founder and Father of Space and Time Gordon Linzner was the editor-in-chief! 🚀Download #94 from Fall 2001 here: https://tinyurl.com/pmaajrwv
If you want to try and collect them all, I made a handy chart you can download for free here: https://tinyurl.com/5aw46utf A total of seven issues have been set free so far.
And now on to the important stuff — my calendar of paying submissions, events and opportunities for authors. Some of these are sent to me, others I curate from various sources. I list some of my favorites here: https://angelaysmith.com/subscribe/
