Authortunities #23 for August 25—September 20
Space and Time wraps up poetry selections ➕ all free Authortunities ➕ free digital Spring 2002 vintage issue #95 〓 Read in 50 US states and 36 countries!

As of today, I am writing to you from an actual lair. The move is finished, and as of yesterday my office is installed. I still have some boxes to unpack and a few things to put up but we are done enough. My new office (a.k.a. The Lair) is the master bedroom walk in closet converted into workspace. Next week I’ll share a quick video tour (after I put away those last few boxes. As a consequence of moving, it’s a shorter calendar share this week.
Watch Space and Time socials and this space next week for the issue #145 poetry selections. You can find those connections through 🔗 https://spaceandtime.net/
The Horror Writer Association’s annual Halloween in July fundraiser is all but over. Over $3,200 has been raised so far, all of which goes to fund the HWA scholarships. You can still donate until the end of August. 🔗 https://www.pledge.to/halloween-in-july
The last event was a virtual open mic and it was so much fun I’m thinking of hosting it once a month. I wonder how many people would be interested in that? Let me know what you think after you watch the recent one.
Lately I’ve been sharing a free digital vintage issue of Space and Time magazine and here it is. This issue features a nonfiction piece from Jack Ketchum! 🚀Download #95 from Spring 2002 here: https://tinyurl.com/4cs4asxp
If you want to try and collect them all, I made a handy chart you can download for free here: https://tinyurl.com/5aw46utf I’ve given away five issues so far out of 144.
Now that the move is done and my (somewhat) secret lair is installed, I look forward to putting together a chonky issue for next week. For now, here is the diet version of Authortunities... still more than I have time to submit to in a week.
In this entire calendar share you will find:
25 newly opened submissions 🟢
30 submission deadlines 🔴
6 events for authors ⭐
13 reprint markets ♻️
1 education 📚
1 award 🏆
2 grants 💲
